Seventh Sky Entertainment has soared to new heights with each project they embark on, be it romantic comedies, dramas based on social issues or even suspense stories. Dour is one such example that sets the bar pretty high with its mystery plot and impeccable direction.

Starring Sania Saeed and Azfar Rehman as the antagonists, Mrs Ehtisham has been able to control everyone else around her except her son, Abaan, the only person aware of her weakness. She may be a business tycoon but her adopted son, Romaan (Ali Abbas), is what she cannot afford to lose.

Romaan’s loyalty makes him one of her assets. To keep things under control, Mrs. Ehtisham has been creating a bigger mess— giving Abaan more power over her as she continues to exploit Romaan and his wife, Asma (Hina Altaf). Terminating Asma’s pregnancy has been a recent one among her agendas, that even without letting the married couple know they’re expecting.

While Mrs. Ehtisham continues to weaken her own stance by giving in to Abaan’s demands, the drama serial also revolves around issues like self-sabotage in marriage, divorce still a social stigma, and toxic parenting.

Dour airs on Monday and Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. on Geo Entertainment.

Dour is a presentation of the dynamic duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment. The drama serial is written by Saji Gul and directed by Mazhar Moin.

It also stars Adla Khan, Hania Ahmed, Emaan Ahmed, Iffat Omar, Haris Waheed, Saleem Mairaj, Mizna Waqas, Nataliya, Hameedullah Khan, Musazam Shah, Salman Arif, and Meesam Naqvi in pivotal roles.
