The auspicious month of Ramazan Kareem has always encouraged Geo Entertainment to produce drama content and religious segments that make a difference. This year, Geo Entertainment is even more focused on enlightening its audience about social responsibilities in Muslim communities.
Following earlier successes with drama series Makafat and Dikhawa, Geo Entertainment has two new exciting additions to its signature Ramazan programming “Ehsaas Ramazan”. Both the series are aimed at acquainting the audience with the teachings of Islam, however, focusing on different aspects of life. Let’s look at each show separately.
Maamlaat
This anthological show takes root from the Islamic perspective on how to deal with everyday matters, abound with inspiring messages in the light of huqooq ul ibaad. Directed by Shahid Younus, the show features compelling stories mostly scripted by Hina Huma Nafees as well as Amber Azhar.
Many veteran actors as emerging talents have collaborated on the project such as Furqan Qureshi, Sehar Khan, Sania Shamshad, Syed Jibran, Nawal Saeed, Hassan Niazi, Danial Afzal Khan, Babar Khan, Srha Asghar, Humayoun Ashraf, Asim Mehmood, Saife Hassan, Saleem Mairaj, Samina Ahmed and Saba Faisal featuring in standalone episodes with a slew of other actors from the industry.
Slated to premiere on 1st Ramazan, Maamlat will air daily at 4:30 p.m.

What makes the show unique and different from the other series is its take on women’s rights and the true spirit of humanity.
The women-oriented show will focus on matters concerning their rights, family, education, ambition, motherhood, betrayal and social class to name a few.
Another factor making it stand out is that the show is penned by women for women, making the series all the more heartwarming with Sameena Aijaz, Zanjabeel Asim Shah, Aliya Bukhari, Naila Ansari, Qaisra Hayat’s storytelling.
Its teasers hint at power statements and a fascinating cast for its standalone episodes, featuring Hina Altaf, Srha Asghar, Adla Khan, Hina Dilpazeer, Sajida Syed, Moomal Khalid, Ellie Zaid, Saife Hassan, Rashid Farooqui, Ayesha Gul, Nida Mumtaz, Mubashira Khanum, Shahood Alvi among others.
Directors such as Mazhar Moin, Khirram Walter, and Mohammad Iftikhar Iffi have collaborated with 7th Sky Entertainment for the series.
