GEO Entertainment introduces new drama serial Mohlat starting tonight

Production powerhouse 7th Sky Entertainment is not foreign to telling tales bound in romance, but this time around, it is set to deliver more than just that on the 17th of May with Mohlat. The story is centered around a family heating up with the news of a newborn daughter, Nawera (played by Komal Aziz Khan), whose father opts for a second marriage in hopes of having a son.

While there are always two sides to the story, for her mother and sister, there is only one. In their eyes, Nawera is the culprit and easier to be blamed for her father’s life-changing decision. Even when all seems to be the worst, it is said there is always a silver lining in everything that happens. In Mohlat’s teasers, Nawera’s story is pacing to prove this phenomenon wrong.

Played by Bushra Ansari, the aunt in the family seems to mirror Maham’s (Kinza Hashmi) side, depriving Nawera further of the silver lining she is crucially in need of. While happiness as an emotion feels distant for Nawera, Maham’s life seems to have an abundance of it. Kinza Hasmi’s onscreen chemistry with Sami Khan has viewers on their feet.

It is assured this unconditional love will be felt through the screen. However, after blending into the steam of Maham’s family’s unresolved waters, the certainty of that love staying, is doubtful. In Mohlat’s world, there will be several questions, and to your surprise, even more answers. Geo Entertainment promises to drown you in entertainment, thrill and curiosity.

Mohlat is a presentation of the country’s leading production house 7th Sky Entertainment owned by the dynamic duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. It is directed by Saima Waseem and written by Samira Fazal. Cast members also include Asma Abbas, Tanveer Jamal, Sabeena Farooq, Javeria Abbasi, Aadi, Usama Khan, Daniyal Afzal, Saife Hassan, Nida Mumtaz, and Sharif Baloch.

Mohlat will air daily at 7:00 p.m. on Geo Entertainment.
