Ayat’s death has surely left a void in Mehru and her mother’s life. Nusrat couldn’t help but question her upbringing as a mother— reiterating if there was anything she could have done differently to save her daughter from such a miserable death.

While it did seem that Ayat’s demise would postpone Mehru’s wedding with Rashid, it still couldn’t buy Shahjahan enough time to change Mehru’s mind. After everyone around her insisted Mehru to let go of hard feelings towards Shahjahan, it still wasn’t easy to step away from her commitment with her fiancé.

With that, she felt the need to tie the knot with Rashid sooner as possible. Even though Mehru’s wedding is near, the question still remains if she truly wants this.

A teaser of the last episode shows that although Mehru would not have the courage to follow her heart, someone else will do the talking for her. But it is to be seen if she will acknowledge her feelings in front of Rashid.
