Plenty of drama series marked their departure this August— calling it a high time to showcase new drama serials. This brings us to talk about a new star-studded play Uraan, slated to premiere today (August 31) on Geo Entertainment.

Uraan’s teasers have been making rounds on television screens since last week. While one teaser stars Kinza Hashmi and Adeel Chaudhry in a bitter love sequence, another features her alongside Nida Mumtaz in a mother-daughter fiasco.

Uraan is a presentation of the country’s leading production house 7th Sky Entertainment owned by the dynamic duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. Written by Jahanzeb Qamar, this drama serial captures how Malika’s aspirations of a lavish lifestyle takes a toll on her close-knit relationships.

Uraan’s teasers unfold all of Malika’s fantasies at first, showing her in a dream-come-true lifestyle. However, the people in Malika’s life are not on par with her expectations from life. As a result, she neglects Asim’s relentless efforts to please her and turns a blind eye to her mother’s warnings.

So far, the teasers have only introduced the audience to Kinza Hashmi as Malika, Adeel Chaudhry as her fiancé, Farhan A Malhi as her brother and Nida Mumtaz as her mother. Aijaz Aslam’s appearance, however, is reserved for a later twist. Directed by Shaqielle Khan, Uraan seems to be a rollercoaster of drama and emotions by the look of its teasers.

Uraan will air Monday to Friday at 9:00 p.m.
